Blake, the Wilderness movie you referred to is called "Wicked Spring." Yes, it was an independent movie and the acting etc. is a bit bad...actually a lot bad, but for some strange reason I have to try and own every historical war movie good or bad. There is another movie put out by the sam...

Thanks for the pictures Ernie. I wish I could have been there and met in person the many opponents I have had in cyberspace. Good pics of Stone's River as well. I have never been there, but hopefully someday I can take a summer and hit many of these battlefields on an extended road trip. Brig. Gen. ...

I just looked it up. It is actually from 1955 and was nominated for two Oscars, Best Documentary and Best Short Subject.

I just saw it myself tonight. The documentary was from 1956 and won an Academy Award. That according to the description on the guide for my digital cable. Narrated by Leslie Nielsen of Naked Gun fame. Of course he sounded much younger. :) Interesting 40 minute documentary. I agree, the pristine cond...

If this has been brought up before my apologies, but the way naval combat is simulated in the HPS system seems to me to be lacking. Especially the ability to ram your enemy is missing, something the Confederates on the Mississippi attempted to do with some success (Plum Run). I remember the first sc...

Brig. Gen. Bonferroni and myself have completed the first battle. Well played Carlos. A draw with fairly even casualties.

General Weir and I have started our battle. The no good bloody so and so got off a lucky shot on the first turn and took out one of my cannon. However, my superior generalship will come through in the end. ;)

I have had the same problem for months. I keep trying and a couple of weeks ago I was successful in getting a "my games report" to come up. I printed it off to have it just in case, which turned out to be good thinking because ever since I haven't been able to get any report except my current games ...

I own all the Battleground series (as well as all the HPS). I just started a couple of games in BG Shiloh and BG Bull Run, I forgot how much I enjoyed those games. I am always open to any game anytime.
