I would recommend contacting Brett Schulte, who was an active member of this club and did a lot of regimental strength research for some of the HPS ACW campaigns. He has a web site at http://www.brettschulte.net/CWBlog/ . He probably has what you need or knows where you can get it, plus he will have...

1 - The difference is the Win/Lost Result (WLR) in the formula because in a 300 turn battle, you get it once but in thirty 10 turn battles, you get it 30 times. The divisor should be adjusted to make it more equitable (but I lost this discussion about 15 years ago). 2 - There is too much emphasis on...

Just something for all of the Commanders and Adjutants to consider: If you achieve a Major Victory in a 300 turn battle, you will receive 1 victory and 85 points; ........................................................ten 30 turn battles, you will receive 10 victories and 94 points; ..................

Some of the roads in the latest games are the same color (brown) as the background/terrain and are practically impossible to distinguish even when using Bill Peters road and water enhancements.

In the middle of playing my second campaign as the Reb commander. Both times I have started retreating to Richmond from turn 1. The first game, it was almost an every man for himself retreat to Richmond as three or four separate columns retreated. The supply wagons are the slowest elements on the ba...

In a separate game, the Rebs just won this scenario in 303 turns by falling back on Richmond. Forcing the Rebs to attempt to duplicate the historical Overland Campaign is not going to be a competitive game and will probably result in it not being played much. When the time comes, maybe they can do o...

"...might solve the problem of the Rebels retreating to Richmond early." I don't understand. That is probably the only chance that the Rebs have to win this scenario and it is very difficult to even achieve a successful retreat to Richmond. Once there, the current Richmond entrenchments ar...

The 200th Anniversary should create another boom for the club. I can't wait as I'll only be 114 years old and have plenty of time to play from my nursing home bed.

It's my understanding that the designers have had some leeway and the Gettysburg designer wanted the movement of supply wagons limited. Since then, I have heard that the designer no longer is involved with JT/HPS designing and accordingly no changes were made to certain parts of the Gettysburg Campa...

In a melee, it requires a minimum of 4 units to be in position around a unit in decent shape in order to eliminate the unit. If the unit is routed but not isolated, it requires a minimum of 6 units in position around the routed unit to eliminate it. If the unit is routed and is isolated from the pre...

It happens in at least most of the HPS/JTS games except that I don't have Petersburg. As an additional note, it has happened with two or three different computers used but apparently it's only happening to me so I guess that this is a non issue.

Works fine with on map results toggled off.

Army supply wagons should be recognized as falling underneath the Army Commander and thus would follow the Commander when control alt is used. Corps and division supply wagons do this so why not Army.

I'm not sure exactly how resupply is done but it doesn't take 100 supply points to resupply a 100 man unit, I think it requires more like 26 supply points for a unit low on ammo and twice that for a unit out of ammo. Regretfully you can't combine supply wagons to resupply a unit. If someone knows th...

When you were an Army Commander, I served under you as a Corps Commander. You were outstanding. Everything that you did in this club was outstanding. You are a man of stable emotions and intelligent decisions and your value to the club has been unmeasurable. You are like an artist, your work and leg...
