It's truly sad news to hear. I had many enjoyable battles and conversations with Tom (Phillips).

I'm very thankful that his sister was kind enough to notify the Club. :(

God Bless and Rest In Peace!

I guess that forum is just inoperable for now. :(

It's a shame that it has gone down as it was an effective method for mustering.

Back to the old courier method. :) Well, if we're lucky, they'll setup some field telegraph networks down the road. ;)

M. Gen. Mahilak, sir, <salute> Great to hear from you Mike! I would agree with you that this is on the board of the Corinth campaign and the start of the Vicksburg campaign. I didn't know they called this excursion the "Mississippi Central Railroad campaign". It looks like it was a short-l...

Happy 4th guys! I'm doing some ACW research and came across an interesting cavalry battle in northern Mississippi (Vicksburg Campaign). I've located the map and OOB and would be willing to create and add this scenario, if there is interest. Let me know if you would like to have this small scenario a...

Oh, Gen. T. Miller, what a surprise! So, were you released with a prisoner exchange or did you somehow escape from that Ohio prison? I heard one Union guard telling the boys,"That old General Miller is enjoying his prison food so much he might never leave". Well, no matter how you got out,...

Officer Charles, sir! <salute>

If you're still looking for a Yank to tussle with, I'm open for something in the Antietam series. Would you like to try (Bull Run) BR1, BR2 or Antietam? Any of those sound good to me.

I'll sent you an email to see what you think.

Guess us Yanks spoiled your Christmas party. We blocked off all the entrances into Vicksburg. To make up for it, I can send over a couple of these vintage 1863 Parrotts over. They'll be a smashing hit there. Just send a light signal and I'll send them right over. ;) Plenty of drinks and food o...
