Good afternoon and happy Memorial Day to everyone, Can anyone point me in the direction of some good threads on the board that deal with cavalry tactics? I'm getting marginally better but Reb cavalry is quite a challenge to contend with. I'm looking for tips on tactics in general, but more specifica...

Gettysburg
Antietam
Peninsula
Shiloh

I generally lose, so for some of you it will be like kicking a puppy, but I keep coming back. Email me at:

I have a few things to add to this thread: I would like to see a more defined distinction between mounted and dismounted officers. According to the parameter data I have seen, other than the movement points, there seems to be no real difference, and thus, no point to dismount. Secondly, I would like...

I will be transferring jobs beginning Feb 5th. and more or less living out of a hotel until potentially June. I'll have plenty of time for battling it out with some rebs. I currently have Gettysburg Antietam Peninsula and Shiloh.

Now that the battle is finished, I can give my side of the story as best as I can recall. For the time being, my opponent, Thomas Wayne said he was going to be doing AARs for the Peninsula Campaign we are battling out. I would like to be able to do my own AARs, but at present, my living situation is...

I arrived on the field about 10:00 am just as General Cutler’s brigade was rushing to take position on McPherson’s ridge. The ridge itself runs all the way across my front beginning with a small orchard and woodlot nestled in a slight depression on the left, and slopes upward heading toward the NE. ...

I'm seeking a rebel opponent for a battle from Antietam, Gettysburg (I do also have Peninsula and Shiloh though). Not looking to fight an expert the first time out.
