Hi Mark,

I always enjoy our games. I will find us a battle later today and we can get going.

I have been away for a while and I'd like to start up a game. I prefer longer, large games. I have Shiloh, Antietam, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Chickamauga, and Atlanta.

Hi Mark,

Good to hear from an old adversary. I don't think the old versions work with the Matrix ones. I have all the old Battleground discs but I don't know if the updates necessary are available anymore.

I have been out of action for several years and I am interested in returning. I am looking for someone interested in playing any of the matrix version of the Talonsoft games.

Sir, I have been looking for an opponent to experiment with a house rule regarding stack firing. What I propose is that stacks of unit cannot fire together but individually. It is my hope that in doing so more defensive fire will trigger. The hope is that this will make defending more even. What I a...

Ken, We have passed that point. The fight in question was the 1st of a campaign which is a meeting engagement at Rocky Face Ridge. One of our Corps faced almost the entire Union Army and has been destroyed. I am moving the other as quickly as I can to the map edge but the Yanks have now caught up wi...

I support the premise that if you are getting defeated in a campaign battle that the winning side should have the option of declining a termination bid in order to exploit their success since losses carry over to the next fight. I personally don't like doing this, and will accept a bid when an oppon...

Yank wanted for C-ville, G-burg, Atlanta, or Chickamauga. I would like someone who is willing to experiment with individual unit firing. or no firing by stacks. I am interested if this helps make fire combat more equal.

Mark, you are right about moving units firing at half strength. I think this would be a better way for me to describe the issue. You have two stacks of 1000 men in 3 units. the attacker moves adjacent and draws 50% fire from 333 defenders (fire factor 166). the offensive stack then fires 1000 men at...
