In addition to this- The Renaissance, the notes file from that title (which I got on SDC), also has a guide for how to edit the PDT and OOB files in the Musket and Pike series (which was based upon material put together for the Napoleonic Battles' series). I only bring this up, in that the series ca...

Here's one, speaking of how many electronic men you can place on the head of a pin: A hex being 125 yards, with 1000 men in the hex, all firing, that would be eight ranks blazing away at once. Aren't there some board games that limit the number of men that can fire out of a hex, regardless of the n...

Columns are a funny thing. I am not sure that each engine actually treats them the same way. Take REN for example, or -well actually EAW might be a better example; even NB - some columns can fire, some can't. Some lines in REN represent 2, 3 or even 4 men deep lines - ok, technically that is for lin...

I believe I read somewhere the leader issue is primarily to prevent replacement officers being used as throwaways since their value is practically nothing as are the benefits they provide. The melee bonus for hordes of secondary leaders (ones that are there to serve as replacements) are not insigni...

I don't know the answer -as mine did that yesterday (I had been using like this past weekend I think). Ok- MS Office (ad based) -wants me to switch to Open Office 4.0 and update my files to show OO as the default program. Time to ditch MS Office ad supported from my HD... no worries. Someday it migh...

What it means is that there are some people selling on Amazon that are nutty. I have actually seen worse, as I had to edit the store on my site to bury some of the really ridiculous prices - like I think one title some fool wanted like about $150 or so for it .... probably on the 'theory' that if no...

FYI -there is no link or it is still showing the 'don't have the required permissions' message that resulted in this thread being locked until a solution could be found. Apparently a solution was found, but nothing changed for me -where do you have this mod hosted at, Joe? :) Edited: NM - got it - y...

Before Cornwell the term 'Copperhead' referred to a northerner with southern sympathies. While I have the Cornwell books, I haven't gotten around to reading them (I think if memory serves me right there are currently 4 in that Starbuck series- with I think more planned - leastwise last time I checke...

I went to school in Charleston Illinois - aside from where the fairgrounds are located being the site of one of the Lincoln-Douglas debates, there was (probably still is for all I know) a monument on the town square where there was a copperhead riot in town (it was regarding one of the drafts iirc)....

John, my response was in regards to Joe's mentioning about assembling a team to contact. I meant there were probably more people who have had interaction with JTS than some might expect. ____ Anyway with regards to the last post (by NSims) - I would strongly recommend that if anyone does choose to g...
