Well now Gents.

Asking a Reb how to catch a live and fresh fish, is about as foolish as asking a Yank how best to lose a war.

Neither one knows much about the subject matter.

Quite respectfully,

Gentlemen! <salute>

There is nothing more fearsome than a Rebel Charge to the bar when the free drinks sign goes up. Your encounters on the battlefield against these same souls will be mild and mellow by comparison.

Best of luck to all of you!

Outstanding Derek <salute>!

I enjoyed playing in the tournament and very much appreciate your efforts putting it together and managing it. The Final Battle will be between two fine Officers and no doubt fiercely contested.

The Harper's Weekly piece is classic!!

Very best regards to you sir,

Gentlemen <salute> Discussion of creating an AAR subforum was previously taken up, see: http://wargame.ch/board/acwgc/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=20888 I think moving forward with that and making it Club-wide (not one for each side) is a great idea and should be pursued by the Cabinet. Respectfully,

Well, that surely would be factor in evaluating their authenticity and value.

I mean, if you were suggesting these lessons were being posted based on winning tactics by Braxton Bragg, for example, I would have no manuscript in progress.

Very respectfully,

I played USA versus CS Officer Hollevoet. Closely fought contest that came down to the last turn and ended as a Draw. USA has better troops which are split between two sides of the battlefield. CSA occupies the center of the battlefield, outnumbers USA but (rare occasion) they are of inferior qualit...

General Mills <salute>

Once you remember where you left your uniform pants and which direction to get aboard your beloved mule, V Corps, AotP, is looking forward to meet you and yours somewhere else than in a tavern.

Generals Hecht and Meyer <salute> I agree completely with the sentiments you have expressed here. Replying to a prompted email once a month to announce you are still part of our Club is no burden. I agree, too, that understanding what the active Club membership actually is very important information...

I look forward to your ramblings sir and will be copying and pasting them into a manuscript which can be use for training purposes.

Lt. Dukeman <salute>

Welcome! It is perhaps obvious that the toughest fight you will face against the rebellious foe is trying to carve out space at the bar when free drinks are being offered. Success in achieving that will indicate you should do very well indeed whipping them in the field.

General Mallory <salute> General Hecht beat me to it. My immediate reaction is the same. If replying to one email a month which requires no more than an "I am here" is too much of a burden, I don't think the club will gain much at all by trying to attract or retain such members. The JTS Op...

Yes. Handbook for the Admin side and basic game functions, like how to play PBEM, etc. Cadet specific training on gameplay or as Christin calls it Battlefield Conduct. Gameplay training training and mentoring responsibility Carrie's forward to Line Officers after graduation.⁶

General Hecht <salute> Your question: "If a hand book would cover the administrative side of Club, what will the be taught at the Academies? Will then the effort put more on battlefield conduct?" The answer: A resounding yes, starting at VMI and UMA and continuing by Line Officers upon the...

Gentlemen I suggest we take a short step back and recall what has prompted our discussion. That is the “problem” of how to deal with a significant pulse of new applications for Club membership. What a great problem to have! It is my understanding that the Club has received 10 or more new application...

General Meyer <salute> I agree with these goals and they are realistic given the resources that have been and may be available to address increasing numbers of applications. I also strongly agree that passage through the academy should be quick and painless and the new recruit be immersed in the ent...
