DSOUND.DLL should be found in C:/WINNT/SYSTEM32 folder in WINXP systems. IT is, apparently, part of DirectX and the latest version I have is dated 7/9/04 (version 5.3.1.904), which was about when I installed DIRECTX ver 9.x. If both you and your opponent keep the "FIRED" icon pressed, then each unit that fires, defensively, will be highlighted DURING the firing.
