General Bird, Good luck reasoning out your WO choice - I started my career as an enlisted man, went up through E-7 before applying for a commission (Limited Duty Officer in Naval terminology). Loved my career, wouldn't have changed it. I imagine we're going to have to "agree to disagree" on Larry, h...

As someone who was there, I'll attempt to answer MG Bird's questions: 1 - Yes, the DoR is backed up, regularly. I believe both Don and Ernie have copies, as well as the sitting Club President. 2 - I would say what you're talking about in being kicked out is shades of grey. If you are banned from pos...

Happy to report a Yankee victory in my match versus General Mallory - those carbines proved too hot to handle in our firefight! That, and General Mallory having some really bad luck on routing...[}:)] http://homepage.ntlworld.com/a.r.barlow/acwgc/images/shoulder_strap_4_star_small.gif General Jeff L...

General Mallory and I are turning a file a day this past week in an attempt to finish on time! My Yanks are ahead in casualties, but there's been some back and forth on the objective hexes, so we'll see! Too close to call. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/a.r.barlow/acwgc/images/shoulder_strap_4_star_sm...

Several folks, not sure who did or did not, got an email from Larry Quick today, and as you can notice, he's shut down his website support, which is absolutely his prerogative to do. This will be my simple attempt to give you some FACTS. It's not to bash anyone, you can read the real words and decid...

My last post on the subject, as much more and we're just turning into windbags. I believe both positions are well established. As for your case of 2 senior folks eased into their retirement, and not being aware of an election - I do not doubt it in the least. It's not a perfect system, as I've admit...

I think that a sitting CoA being able to guarantee himself the sitting commanders votes is more than enough to sway a 50/50 election, right?! Also, very few people tend to vote. Like less than 20 in some cases, and I think the record is only in the 30's, and that was for a general election where eve...

Colonel Strickler, A question - even with the 6 months service rule, how would you negate the fact that the sitting CoA could stack his own deck? He would have 2 years to get the stars aligned, so I'm not sure what the value would be there? Another - why would Major General make more sense than Lt G...
