Ernie's information probably comes from the company; I know for a fact that I have heard that exact same thing from Rich Hamilton when testing, as well as when providing guidelines for designing scenarios (not as a hobby). The issue is that the engines were not ever designed for the scope that they ... |

Which OOB, Ken? Or if you could list a specific scenario where it happens I will have a look. It sounds like a coding thing in the OOB is all (been there and done that one in another series ... actually considering I am using stand in graphics I guess it is nothing but that - so it sounds familiar a... |

They are -but don't grab updates for HPS titles on JTS as there is a difference in the HPS/JTS versions that are all centered around the s/n thing that JTS has. If anyone were to do that by accident, it is probably easily solved by getting with JTS support, although be prepared to prove ownership of... |

I think it is company/platoon level - it is higher than squad level. Something comparable in scale to what Tiller did in the 90's with the Campaign Series under Talonsoft (East Front, West Front, Rising Sun, etc...). Not the same exact thing but the scale is comparable. I haven't played them (actual... |

My first guess would be work queues - but I am not involved in any CWB stuff at this time.
Another factor can be individuals' availability, and prioritising of projects - it is done based upon how advanced a project is, not just marketability. |

Fwiw: "Someone at (JTS) decide to give us two formations, assault column and route column..." That 'someone' is going to be John Tiller, as what you are talking about is an engine change, and a pretty big one at that -but you know, if it hadn't been asked before, I think I would be willing... |

On the other hand, then you create the problem when not using the rule which allows you to take the position .... poof the guns go away, you collect the points, then don't even have to bother holding the position. It is really kind of odd, in that I have played a lot of guys who I have let set the o... |

As John has alluded to in his previous post, the PDT has its limitations relative to the base game engine. While one can construct a different movement system or a standard Weapons Effectiveness -- never understood why weapon types should differ from one scenario to the next --, a standard PDT for ... |

The main problem, that you'll have is that you eventually (assuming that you want to use the weather features), need to develop separate PDTs to cover individual situations. They can have the exact same ratings *but* the issue will be the weather - this is coded directly in the PDTs. I actually thou... |

Ned, see my post, "Hey, MULE!" ( http://wargame.ch/board/acwgc/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=20127 ) And I totally agree about standardized movement costs throughout the entire JTS/HTS Civil War Campaign series. Its fine to be able to privately change things around in the PDT if you and your op... |

I think it is important to make the distinction between working with what is in an engine (in this case the actual concept of fatigue points exist in multiple engines), and actual engine changes. Army level morale, and other concepts like BCE (I think Brigade Combat Effectiveness from Terrible Swift... |

For what it is worth, from where I am looking at it (in terms of game impact), it is one way to impact combat effectiveness, and ameliorate losses in an engine. One can read into what it is all that they like, but the bottom line is that more fatigue causes less losses in combat, and more routs/disr... |

NB (and MP) has pioneers as well, although I think most of what they can do in that series is limited to repairing bridges ( I'll have to refresh my memory with the user guide to get the full range of their capabilities.). I don't know if the command range values are customizable by nations in CWB, ... |
