Col. Schwartz, I have not played this particular Overland scenario, so am unable to make any statement concerning any imbalance. Your reference to "No Effect" when firing your guns could be directly related to the manner in which breastworks and trenches are implemented in the game system....

Just wandered into this conversation. Hadn't been to the Scenario Center in a while. The game engine is too generous in its treatment of night "movement" (or lack thereof) as to what actually occurred during the Civil War. This is well known to anybody reading this, or perhaps every member...

You are correct. No special abilities. Dates back to Battleground days. Can't answer the question as to why this was included.

Ken, Thanks. One has always needed to select a firing unit. The game engine now considers multiple selected units to be treated as one, and accumulates their individual results. This is how I understand it. While this works for offensive fire, can you shed any light as to whether any changes were ma...

Firing multiple units at once does not increase the effectiveness of fire. Each unit's fire result is handled separately then the total casualties and fatigue are added together and the losses displayed. Ken, This confuses me. If the reference is to artillery vs. infantry, then correct. If the algo...

Sad to hear. I competed in a number of MP games in the past few years with John.

Lt. Newell, If you would like to jump right into the frying pan, I have an offer for you. Join me as CSA player (you read this correctly) in a Mine Run battle. Our opponents will be two of the Union's best in Generals Danner and Riggs. What a way to learn quickly! After we have stymied them, you wil...

The install is looking for AUDIERE.DLL which I believe is a file related to audio file types. I find no such file on...
