I had a post on that topic a while back. There is a second book and it is a good read also. I'm awaiting the third as it should be the climax of an interesting trilogy.

Rich Hamilton and myself just finished up playing the 2nd Day at Gettysburg on the HPS engine and had a great time doing it. I've posted my thoughts on the AAR forum at the WarfareHQ forum and I believe Rich will be posting an even better set of notes with screenshots soon. Rich has also started a t...

Wasn't it Longstreet who said an army should be as sensitive about it's flanks as a virgin to her virtue? If you are compacting your Corps that much then you are leaving them vulnerable to this tactic. Your going to need to use your cavalry or reserves to protect those flanks and rear areas. Civil W...

I'm sure someone from the CSA will be in touch shortly. Probably line up the proper instructors to teach you to enjoy 'possum, march miles barefoot, and surrender to Union troops gracefully. [:D]

They've also got a trivia question thread going that some of you might show off your expertise in.

Got to agree with Gary on this one. In my opinion all they really need to do is fix the defensive fire and make artillery a little more effective. I don't mind routing units disrupting units they rout through though I wonder about the path they choose.

I listed Computer wargaming as my hobby in the bio I gave the company for my twenty year party but no one either noticed or cared enough to ask. I've got a few guys here at the plant that will discuss military history once in a great while that I've mentioned my gaming to but no one has taken an int...

Well I'm the shipping coordinator at the Pioneer plant here. We grow the company's sorghum seed and I oversee shipping it around the US and the world. Also several other seed types to salesmen in 7 states. Also take care of drying our crop when it comes in. Needless to say this is my busy time of ye...

Pope went out to Minnesota to command against the Sioux uprising there. I would have liked to have seen the looks on those Rebs faces after the got their butts kicked off of Missionary Ridge, a position they thought couldn't be taken. Or the look on the Union commanders faces as those boys made that...

Maybe we could see engineers in a patch someday. After all we have Pioneers in the Napoleonic series, surely they were just as good at repairing/rebuilding bridges 50 years later.

I use Outlook Express for my mail therefore no trouble with files. I think you meant files from the internet. I think Mozilla is set up to specifically download to the desktop as a security issue. I think this prevents any spyware from loading anywhere else but I don't know enough about that aspect ...
