The download is working fine, although Matrix was supposed to have had some problems a week or two ago. Everything seems OK now though!

Nice post, Drex! I too have often wished for a better logistical capability, something that's been discussed within this forum previously. However, there seem to be so many specific and different issues raised that the whole thing tends to become overloaded and confused. Maybe we can all work in thi...

Gil Renburg, one of the developers of the <b>Forge of Freedom</b> game, informs me that a long-awaited patch has been released which fixes the issues that had formerly impacted upon PBEM play. Gil states in reference to the ACWGC Union Army's FOF battle and campaign ribbons that, <i>"So, for those w...

I am, of course, glad to see you returned to the field with at least some semblance of your former spunkiness, Colonel Kocher. But this business of Yankee officers bartering for your departed leg is wholly distasteful in the extreme. Such unseemly transactions for what may be regarded as "terminated...

I am totally embarrassed at discovering Wood's Division on the field! A classic brain freeze (something I seem to be getting more frequently as I grow older)! But, Johnson's Division very certainly entered this contest without a leader. Once again, as Johnson was wounded in the previous battle of th...

I've just managed to run down Colonel Kocher, who is in rehabilitation following his leg amputation surgery. He's doing OK and says he will be back home this coming Monday, although it may be yet a short while before he's ready to remount "Old Blue" and get back into the thick of things. I suspect t...

I am currently involved as the Union commander in HPS Chickamauga #043, The Battle of Chickamauga, Sept. 19th, 1863, 35 turns. The contest is the third battle of a campaign. There appear to be some missing units, but I am not certain as the previous battle of the campaign, Murfreesboro, incurred man...

Appeals to our sympathies will get you no where, Colonel Kocher! You are too much of a unreconstructed Rebel who takes too much pleasure in the battlefield demise of Yankee opponents. And doubtless you will feel even more onry once you've been re-strapped to your horse and are again ready take the f...

Ken, this is some of the best stuff I've seen yet! You've gone out of your way to open these systems up and provide us with a very well written and lucid explanation of how things work and why! Absolutely phenominal...incredibly detailed and precise. I think everyone has to stand back and ask themse...

Glad to have you, General Laub! Very glad, indeed! Anyone else up there in Washington that might like to get their shoulder boards dirty?! We're starting to put together a suitable format for this gun down, but we're still a little out and away from a tying up the package. It shouldn't be more than,...
