Kennon, Yes, I considered both Fatigue and Supply. With HIGHER FATIGUE RECOVERY toggled on, Low Fatigue units have a 50% recovery rate, Medium 30% and High 10%. There is approximately a 15% greater probability of incurring some sort of hit ("F" or otherwise) in this system as opposed to straight Bat...

Richard, Why 12.5 as a base rather than 5, for example? Good question. Battleground, unlike HPS, makes no allowance for the magnitude of a loss when determining Morale Checks. A hit causing 5 casualties will engender a Morale Check to the same extent as hits causing 50. Units would be Routed and "D"...

No, this is not a fake subject in an attempt to sell timeshare condos! It is exactly as stated. The Norris-Frost system added incremental (less than 25 man losses) to Battleground. It suffered from one drawback, however: N-F used base 10, but the Battleground game engine utilizes base 25. It may be ...

Kenneth Noe in his book "Perryville" allots almost 2 pages to a discussion of Braxton Bragg's personality. He points out that historians avoid pyschoanalyis of their subject for the simple fact that nothing can really be proven. One needs to make inferences. His conclusion was that Bragg could not b...

Never mind (quoting Emily Latela of Gilda Radner fame). Didn't realize that the Editor for BGC differs from the 5/1998 version. Copied off the BGC CD and all is well.

I am attempting to edit scenarios using the CW Editor (5/1998) in BG Chickamauga. I receive a message "Error reading MAIN.MAP", although the game itself opens without any problem. The MAIN.MAP file is the one included with the BGC install. Anyone know what is going on here? BG Robert Frost Army of C...

I did a Google search for both these DLLs. You can download them if needed, but they both appear to be rather dated (Windows 95). Is your shortcut set up correctly? Have you tried launching the BR executable directly? These files are not part of the Bull Run CD. There is no reason the program would ...

Sir, As I read your post I jumped and did a search for the DLLs which you listed. I run Windows XP Professional and find no such DLLs on my system. I also ran a search on a copy of the Bull Run CD. Likewise, no DLLs by this name were found! I am confused. When you try to run the game you get these m...

Ken, Congratulations on your victory at Chickamauga! That is a toughy for the Union. I have only forayed twice into the Georgia woods in my time in the ACWGC. My very first game was a Union Major Victory in one of the smaller scenarios. Which one escapes me. The second was versus the formidable Gene...
