"CC" is a great way to play against the AI on equal footing, but it takes practice to get used to doing it right an it works best for smaller scenarios where the enemy is already nearby. This is because the AI still has a problem moving whole formations in column (it tends to move only the... |

They do give you 3 'tokens' when you sign up so you can play 3 of the bigger historical battles for free. Watching the simultaneous 'we-go' replay is fun at least and the AI games seem to me to offer a fair challenge. My undying hope is that the sooner HPS realizes that their CW series is not the pa... |

I registered and took it for a spin last night. There are a few introductory games you can play for free so I tried those out. The system is wego which is OK by me, both sides give orders and then resolution is simultaneous. Scale is brigades. Graphics are very basic but functional. It appears to be... |

Dale, I got there at about 9AM and walked the trails on my own (except I did drive down to Burnside's Bridge).
I did overhear a few of the discussions going on at Mumma Farm and Bloody Lane and the Parks folks sounded like they really knew their stuff. Awesome day it was. |

During my tour of Virginia-Maryland battlefields last week I tried to imagine the game maps as I stood at certain vantage points. Many times (especially at Fredericksburg) the foliage would block what was otherwise a clear view in the 1860's. But at Cedar Mountain there was a lot of open ground and ... |

Yep, I'm 6'-4" and I took this photo standing next to the cornfield at Antietam on Sept 17th (last week). I imagine the soldiers got a false sense of security moving through this field, as they would be quite concealed, yet still vulnerable to fire. http://imageshack.us/a/img834/985/dscn3744e.j... |

Once you are in-game, there is a toggle under the "Settings" toolbar that does "ask before advancing" to the melee phase and the end of turn. Does that help? |

My approach is definately different. I only assume that my opponents will do all that is within their power to gain any kind of edge in a game against me, whithout, of course, actually cheating. ie. replaying turns for best results, changing game files, etc... Under this assumption I do everything ... |

I contacted his immediate superior to help track him down. I am interested to see what turns up - a distracted officer or a slippery rebel spy. |

Anyone headed to Antietam in September? i'm in California but my in-laws are Germantown MD so I will be staying with them and making a whirlwind tour of the 'Maryland Campaign 150th" and probably throw in Harper's Ferry, Bull Run, and maybe even Fredericksburg and Chancellorsville. |

I actually found this solution a while back when I upgraded my machine - in the HPS "Windows Vista/7 Help" section. You can find it here along with the link to the help file fix for Vista:

mediafire seems to download direct for me, although I may already have "signed up" with these cloud servers and it logs me in automatically. I have dowloaded mods from mediafire and GameFront many times. part 001: http://www.mediafire.com/?5061bcdtqxsd2qs part 002: http://www.mediafire.com... |
