Tom-- Just to let you know, Overland2.pdt already has 20 min turns and 800 stacking. Scenario 121, among others, uses Overland2. John Ferry Overland co-designer |

Old Banshee produced colorized unit pics which are quite good. I think that is what you mean. John Ferry LTC 2/20th Corps |

Between Heth and Reynolds, Heth didn't really grasp what he was in for; Reynolds did. If the Battle of Gettysburg had been a one-day event, it would have gone in the books as a Confederate victory. Even though Lee had given guidance (not orders) that a general engagement was to be avoided, he could ... |

My vote would have to go to John Reynolds. Not only did he show determination and decisiveness in pushing his infantry forward, but even in death his resolve led his subordinates to fight there under the axiom that you obey the last order given. Who would countermand him? Not Howard, not Hancock and... |

Cam You might take note on what 150th reenactments might be taking place when you are here. Winchester in September, Cedar Creek in October and Franklin in November, to name a few. John Ferry LTC 2/20th Corps |

The City of Atlanta has sprawled over all of the battlefields fought to capture the city. If you are in Atlanta, however, I recommend a visit to the Atlanta Cyclorama, in Grant Park, downtown Atlanta. North from Atlanta, zipping up the interstate highway, are all the fields of the campaign, from Ken... |

May 4, 1864, exactly 150 years ago today, is the start date of the "Campaign Scenario" of Campaign Overland, which I worked on for over five years prior to publication. Although I worked intimately with the dates of May and Jun, '64, it gives me pause on this day to contemplate what will t... |

I was guessing you've seen a bit of it. Recall that "True Grit" was just remade a few years ago (better than the first, IMO) and that makes me think they should redo the Searchers, and film it where it happened this time instead of Monument Valley in Utah. Dave S--I hope you've at least se... |

In the line of discussion, I was wondering if our General Nelms is into Texas, and especially Comanche, history. Just finished "The Searchers" excellent book by Glenn Frankel, about the making of the movie, directed by John Ford, from the book written by Alan Lemay, taken from Texas histor... |

It is my observation that, far from documenting the many varied aspects of these games only for himself, Robert has constantly shared his findings with many of us in the field. His work has spared me the trouble more than a few times of finding out the same thing over again for myself, for the good ... |
