Colonel,

I have recently posted seeking Rebel opponents for any/all of three different HPS Antietam scenarios. Only one of your rebellious brethren has accepted the challenge thus far. Do you have interest in another game? 005: 1st Bull Run v3 or 060: Antietam v4 ??

One brave Rebel officer has stepped forward and we are both "Marching to Hagerstown". Any others want to have a go at Antietam or Bull Run? Really, no one else?

Union officer of limited experience, questionable skill, and dubious character seeks similarly-lacking Confederate(s) for HPS Antietam battles: 005 - 1st Bull Run v.3 ("Race to Bull Run") 035 - Antietam v4 060 - Hagerstown ("March to Hagerstown") Prefer all Optional Rules "o...

A courier has been sent, offering either 054: Dallas or 065 Kolb's Mill, with optional rules proposed. Looking forward to a lively encounter.

MG Kolcun, How did I step forward to face a Colonel and find myself challenged by a Major General? My talents and experience are undoubtedly not of a level equal to your own and I feel I would be at a distinct disadvantage. Yet I remain intrigued by the proposition... I shall contemplate further and...

Colonel Sparks, If one new encounter is not sufficient and you seek, or will accept, another... I too have all three titles, and with only one active game, would welcome an additional fight. What do you consider a "longer" scenario and do you have a preference on titles? Mine would be Gett...

Best wishes indeed, General McClellan. You have most certainly done the club, the Union Army, and yourself proud these past eleven years. [salute]

Sir,

I would welcome an encounter. Have G'burg & Antietam, but not Peninsula or Vicksburg. Send email with scenario ideas and initial proposal for optional rules to michaelaosborne at sbcglobal dot net

Lt Colonel, Is there any more room on your dance card? I can do 3-4 turns/wk and would be open to something balanced from Gburg, Cville, Cmauga, or Antietam. If you are open to another game, give me a few proposed scenarios to choose from. Post here or email me at: michaelaosborne at sbcglobal dot n...

I will defer to your superior rank. No weather and no phase play. In exchange for those concessions on my part, I simply ask for some compromise on yours, such as surrendering immediately. Deal? :)

A courier has been dispatched to your headquarters with game file in hand.

Excellent! I believe Union moves first, but regardless, I will go ahead and start the game and send it off Thursday morning. I'm on a Phased Play kick and like playing with all optional rules "on" except Higher Fatige Recovery, Higher Disrupted Movement, Alt Unit Release, Rout Limiting, We...

General,

Still seeking another battle? Do you mind a relative novice? Would you consider HPS Chickamauga #101 or 104. No experience with it, or with C'mauga, but these look interesting and of a manageable length.

Well, in my case, the switch to an intergated video card made the difference. Yes it I also have more RAM, but I changed no settings on the computer or within the game, just more RAM and an integrated card, and voila, problem solved.

Conveniently, just purchased a new desktop for the home office with rockin' integrated graphics driver and a load of RAM so the wife can "work from home" as she likes to tell the boss. Let's see whether baby fixes the problem. My guess is 'yes'.
