Sure, you just add the information at the end of the weather string in the pdt file and it will display it.

But it is possible what Joe describes. And you could in fact add weather effects that then make it impossible during historically rainy weather.

I fear that you would alter the balance of many scenarios though.

The Mills Springs weather scenarios have reduced visibility, movement, and combat throughout the turns. This is WAD, I believe. What is happening is the scenario uses the last weather entry prior to the current date from the pdt file, from November 7, 1861: 1 1861 11 7 15 20 52 20 110 95 -10 0 Clear...

Not the blues legend, but a new mod for water hexes I'm working on to accompany the soon to be released Old Banshee weather variants for Campaign Peninsula. The stark blue river graphic is replaced by a murkier one: Swollen by heavy spring rains, the otherwise lazy Chickahominy River became a signif...

I have obtained a copy of Peninsula andThe Old Banshee team has commenced with the total weather redux mod. To date all of the research is done and most of the files have been converted to use the weather features. Most notably we removed the hard-wired mud restrictions at Seven Pines and added a di...

You will need a graphics editor like "MSPaint" or "Snagit" or something like that to "paste" the Banshee bitmaps over a corresponding line in the stock ones. A bit cumbersome indeed but we (the Banshee team) hope to expand on this a bit more to provide a complete 3dunit...

We had a discussion on this mod a while back : http://wargame.ch/board/acwgc/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=17685&hilit=empire I installed it and played it for a bit - it looked great but the maps and atmosphere was too dark and gloomy for me, artillery was murderous and the campaign didn't make much h...

Umm that shows how long I have been out of it (or how old I'm getting). That's my mod and it's finished. meh. It hung around unfinished on my hard drive for so long but now I remember wrapping it up and uploading it to Banshee. :)

Both players need the Banshee weather mod for Gettysburg (and any other weather mod that comes along) installed for PBEM. Not so the graphics mods.

I did the weather mod for Gettysburg and I have a WIP for Ozark as well. I don't own Peninsula otherwise I would gladly do the mod for it.

Pardon the thread resurrection.
