They are places to exit units off the map. You move your units onto the hex then select, from the COMMAND menu " Remove units from map" and you will see the value in POINTS of the exitted units instead of a ZERO. When you have EXIT hexes, it is acceptable and desired to remove units from the map. <b...

In the Squad Battle games there is a PINNED result. It is NOT automatically removed, but a leader stacked with the unit can rally it to a DISRUPTED state in the next turn. So, pinned is not in the ACW series, but is in another Tiller game, so...[;)][;)] Ernie Sands LtGen, CO XX...

Some of the VIEW menu items are "sticky", like objectives and supply sources, but contours isn't one of them. Ernie Sands LtGen, CO XXIII Corps, AoO http://www.pbem-war-gamer.com/ccc/images/alfred.gif ACWGC Cabinet member

An interesting question. For the most part, especially in the BG system, the games are mostly played historical, as they are very limited in scope. In BG, you are almost forced to adhere to a (close to) historical track, as the scope of the games are limited to that aspect. Sure, you can do some odd...

In the Nappy games, you can split batteries into a left and right battery, and combine them later. Why can't you have the best of both worlds and provide this type options. In that way, a combined battery would fire at the lowest range, firepower and damage of the the 3 types of cannon. I don't real...
