Thanks for the answer Dukemat, I think the problem is most likely what you are saying about the elevations not agreeing in both of your maps, meaning that if you swap out the graphics out you might not fix the issue you are wanting addressed. It sounds like you are probably talking about a re-done s... |

Ok- question being then what exact map file are you looking at in each title? Or barring that - what scenario are you looking at? What I am trying to say is that it is possible to have the same area covered in a map in two different titles but have different elevations being used -which would be a p... |

Qualified answer: Not yet. It is because of those files - but Rich is working his way through them so it will be soon. The list of what they have updated already is: Chickamauga Gettysburg Corinth Antietam -and currently he is working with Shiloh. (These updates that are currently being posted have ... |

I think what might be overlooked is that for years anything and everything to do with the Civil War, is that everyone has their own opinion; this presents a real and practical problem whereby an end user has got to be prepared to work with those files in order to determine where and what an engine c... |

I take that to mean that these would be done outside of anything to do with JTS, in which case there isn't going to be anything that I am going to get involved with. |

Maps are going to be the issue, unless you are meaning using submaps of already published maps. |

Lots of chatter since my last post. The only thing I'll say is, regarding Steve's post, 100 men wide and 100 men deep would be ten THOUSAND men. Try THAT in yer pdt, Robert! :D John Col 2/20th A/C Gawd, you're right - I was meaning 10 deep ... which is about the size of what I have been working wit... |

I guess I ought to clarify, that while I am interested in seeing just how adaptable the MP engine is, I am not that interested in modding, unless it involves validating some combat models. I don't know about dying so much as I am sure there is a use for some artists that create their own material; o... |

Part of my point was that technically, you could, if you want create American Civil War scenarios with the Musket and Pike engine. In that sense it is just a brand name of the engine. In this sense 'you' is meant to be any end user. Ok, yes, maps - but given a map - nothing would prevent it from bei... |

Don't the stacking limits also amount to how many can literally fit into that space? I mean technically sure you can set it to whatever, but I don't know that you can really have 1500 men acting effectively in a 100 meter or yard length of space, and that is exactly what you are asking of that engin... |

It's about changing the code over so that users can then seamlessly receive a current update and future ones. Essentially it is converting a HPS version to the JTS version going forward. You could always get the JTS update and apply it to the HPS version, but what it did was ask for a serial number ... |

HPS does seem to be dragging their feet on releasing though. . . It is more a matter of a shift in JTS policy; per Rich Hamilton on the Blitz (under a France '14 topic), JTS is not going to provide updated patches to HPS any longer, instead opting only to have the one version.). I know that I had a... |
