Artillery exchanges are becoming more intense. Pick a weak point and attack without delay". I click okay. The next message I...

If Gen Reynolds does not get killed at Gettysburg, especially not early on the first day... 1) Would it have had an effect on the battle and what? 2) Would they have disbanded I Corps after the battle or just built it back up with Reynolds in charge? Co...

I was just wondering about any actual fighting in cities/town in the Civil War. I don't really remember reading about much. I know in Gettysburg itself there was some fighting, but mostly chasing disordered Union troops out... or cornering them in dead ends causing them to surrender. Cities always s...

Just wondering about everyone's favorite books on the Civil War.

Best authors?
Biographies?
Campaigns?
Battles?

And why?

Thanks!

Ok, of course when I decide it's feasible to re-crew an artillery battery I look for the lowest morale type troops to do it, 'D's or 'E's... Question is for a campaign, say a regiment re-crews a 6 gun battery, that means that the regiment loses 300(??) men (or is it 150?) and it's strength goes down...
