The following dispatch was sent this date.

Major General Brent "Rock" Horrocks, ACWGC
Commander, Fourth Infantry Brigade,
First Infantry Division, XVI Corps,
Union Army of the Tennessee

General,

This is to inform you that as of this date, October 1st, 2018, you have been officially retired from active duty with the Union Army of the Tennessee and the American Civil War Game Club as per your request. Please accept my personal wishes for your good health and welfare in any and all endeavors you undertake. Also know that I have deeply appreciated the long tenure of brigade command you have recorded and hold you in the highest regard for your services within the AotT and the old Army of the Ohio. As a graduate of the UMA Class of 1997 you have honorably left behind you an enviable record of devotion and activity over the years that well demonstrates the depth of your character and successes. Your record of 60+ Major Victories will long stand as a testament to you skills.

Should you at any future time be able and elect to re-activate your commission you will be freely admitted back into the club membership.

I am, Brent, in all respects, most courteously yours,

General Jos. C. Meyer, ACWGC
Commander, Union Army of the Tennessee

I have played a couple of battles against Rock, a great officer to play and I hope that he finds retirement to quiet and puts a uniform back on - a grey one

After this long time of service he surely has earned himself a break.
Anyhow I hope to see him back, we can always use experienced generals.

<<SALUTE>>
I have had the pleasure of Gen Horrocks being in one or another of my commands over the past many years. Gen Horrocks was a staunch commander in many capacities over the years. He always would setup up to assist, especially in the IX Corps Army of Ohio.
