The three What If scenarios are based upon the 1390 turn campaign monster game. They are designed to make the scenario easier to play and to provide the ANV with at least a strategic advantage over the original/historical scenario. The difficulties faced by the AotP increase with each scenario.

Lee Blocks places the ANV in column basically along the Orange Turnpike, firmly blocking Grant's path to Richmond. Bridges have been restored/created, replacements (not reinforcements) have been eliminated, fixed units have been eliminated except for on the Richmond VP hex, and objective hexes have been eliminated except for the Richmond hex. Combat should occur a lot sooner in this scenario. The AotP is still a very large army but, if you are good, the ANV stands a chance of punching their lights out.

Lee Entrenched is like the Lee Blocks scenario above except that ANV is now behind breastworks along the Orange Turnpike. Now the ANV stands an increased chance of dancing toe to toe with the AotP.

Po River Defense has Lee dug in behind the Po River. The scenario changes are like the scenarios above but there are no reinforcements as all units (excluding supply wagons) start the scenario present for duty (Union 158,864 and Confederates 96,032). This one probably will require Grant to use more strategy than the two scenarios above.

These are scenario files. For each scenario, load one file in the scenario folder and you are ready to play (that means there are three files total for all three scenarios). They have not been play tested but problems are not anticipated in getting the files to run. If you want the files, send me an email to tnbloodngutsATyahoo.com . For those not familiar with that email address, the "AT" means @.

Gen Newell, Maybe we try out these sometime!! We have been playing around with the old 1300 turn scen for awhile just to see how it plays out.... I love the big map (although, i am still upset with you about what you did to my cav in Fredericksburg!).

Gen Stewart , we can try one of them in the future. You should have got out of Fredericksburg when you had the chance. But I know you prefer Death before Dishonor. Sheridan had to teach them a lesson.
