I bought a new computer Windows Vista and all. I finally have gotten my e-mail working again, but am unable to install in of the new patches for the games, any help would be appreciated.

I am guessing you are not running as an administrator (which is good, the IT guy at work said not to run as an admin..)

When you open the HPS folder, it may give you an option on the top menu that says something like "view compatability files." clicking that may help.

Also, putting the HPS folder right on the C drive instead of in the Program Files is a known work around (form HPS website)... If it is anything other than these things good luck with the mystery that is VISTA..

Head over to the HPS Simulations website: http://www.hpssims.com/

Right at the top of the page you will see a got Vista?

This should help you get right on track.

Or you can do like "Vista for Dummies" book and most technical writters on the OS recommend, turn off the UAC and always run with an account that has admin privileges. The UAC is to broken to be of any use.

This still won't fix the problem because Vista disables DOS scripts which older install apps use from running with Admin privileges. Vista also automaticallys secures the Program Folder from certain write operations which is why they recommend you make a new folder under "C" drive to install games too.

Or get Windows XP.
