Gen Meyer This is a strange case. This officer had just entered our custody when he met Gen Strickler. They seemed to really hit it off. Last thing I saw was the two of them flattening Gen McOmish's bar tab and then, guess what? Maj Lubbert donned a grey uniform and muttered something about joining Gen Strickler to go west to fight injuns - as you know Gen Strickler has been unable to find Yanks to fight out west. I gather that Gen Strickler is hoping that your Gen Custer might join them too. Your obedient servant |

Ah, yes, Wayne, good fellow. A few pieces of silver and the man happily gave up all the information he had. We now know all the darkest Yank secrets! I never knew about the pajama parties until now but I must say it paints a comical picture. Rather than stay in the East and fight his old Yank friends he decided to head west and search for Gold. I offered him a Confederate Badge but he replied, "Badges! We dont need no stinking badges!" I expect he is up around the Sierra Madre now. |
