Gentlemen,

Three Officers of the Army of Northern Virginia were awarded Medals this month for significant milestones in their careers.

General Den McBride received the
Joseph E. Johnston Medal of Recognition, 2nd Award

for achieving over 2000 OBD points, Den is one of the original 50 members of the club, having joined in 1997, over the years he has served as Corps CO, Army CO, Cabinet member and interim CoA.

General John Newton received the
Joseph E. Johnston Medal of Recognition, 1st Award

for achieving over 1000 OBD points, John currently Commands the Army of Northern Virginia, he was involved with VMI and the Army of Georgia records dept. early on in his membership then moved to the ANV to become CO in January 2009.

Lt. General Steve Kitchen also received the
Joseph E. Johnston Medal of Recognition, 1st Award

for achieving over 1000 OBD points, Steve is the Army of Northern Virginia CoS and it's II Corps CO, he also keeps up the ANV HQ and II & III Corps web pages.

[color=#BF8000]Lt. General David Ray, also was Awarded the
Joseph E. Johnston Medal of Recognition, 1st Award


earlier this month for achieving over 1000 OBD points, David has been with the Army of Georgia since 2001 and it's II Corps CO, since 2008.


Please join me in congratulating these fine Officers for a job well done!
