Gentlemen,

I'm bringing this to you guys frist - DO NOT PUBLICIZE ALL OVER THE WEB PLEASE!

Today, Saturday the 15th, is release day for Campaign Overland. It is in the JTS store but has not been posted to the main page. The reason is the shopping cart software is having some delays from the time an order is placed until the time you can download the order...like a minute or two, but none the less it is not as smooth as it should be.

So, we are looking for some people who would place orders and test out the process before we release it to the general public. If you plan on buying it please go to the store and place your order and see how it behaves for you:

http://john-tiller-software.myshopify.com/

Thanks - once this minor item is resolved we'll go public with it, so the whole world should have access by tonight if all goes well.

I gave it a try.
it is like you said

when the order is placed, the downloadlink is rather difficult to see IMHO.
then when you click on it, there is an error.
done it 3 times with an error
on the 4th it worked fine (about a minute after the first try)

in the meantime, I received a first email with no link
then about a minute later, a second one with a download link ..

hope this helps

1390 turns for the big battle !!! you saw BIG !!!

same thing for me, you need to wait for the link in the email. the map is huge on the 1390 turn scenario, richmond at the bottom and goes well north of fredericksburg.

Looks like it is a know issue with the shopping cart, with no time table for a fix. So, we'll likelt go public tomorrow.

Hmmm, admittedly very tempting.

But I think I'll have to "draw a line-in-the-sand" and refuse to cross it.

1390 turns? PLEASE!

May have to leave this one out of my collection. :(

I was wishing for Jackson's and Sheridans campaigns in the Shenandoah.

I don't see how the Overland Campaign would appeal to those wearing gray.
Kind of a "better than nothing" I guess.

Hopefully I am wrong.

At the very least, I hope there are some rule changes that can be carried forward (or back to be correct) to the older titles.

And......How long to you think we have to wait for those gents at "Banshee" to make the counters the way they should be.........Boy those guys are gooooooooooooooooooood.

As a playtester I can tell you the Rebels will give the Union all they want. Almost all the ANV is "A" quality at this point and you actually have trenches in this game and you can beat yourself bloody against them trying to make a hole in the line. The Union is the same mix of a few high quality, a fair number of medium quality, and then you've got all those new Heavy Artillery regiments that are "E" rated. So don't for a minute think it's a walkover for the Union just because of the disparity in numbers.

That's one scenario out of 100+...most are much more manageable.

It is now clear for public release and discussion, so y'all know...
