Here's a new challenge: Match Generals with the names of their horses. General Lee? General Grant? General Sheridan? General Meade? There are of course plenty more for those willing to play. Joe Johnston was more known as uncle joe. I was in the bookstore today and was reading an opinion by grant that Johnston gave him the most trouble. |

Interesting.... Did Grant say when this happened? The only time I can think of when they were pitted against each other was during the Vicksburg Campaign. I would compare the trouble he gave Grant in 1863 to me having to stop and scratch my nose while skinning a deer.  J Ferry Maj 2/20th Corps |

No, but he referred to wishing he knew Johnston was coming to Vicksburg, so I was guessing before that. |
