As promised long ago when I wrote up the AAR for Gator Alley Advance I have produced another AAR for the Club to review and enjoy!

I hope everyone likes it and enjoys it over the next month or so - new additions to be released each Sunday!

Excellent job. Have missed your posts and your unique talents here in the club. It takes a lot of work to not only to design a scenario but to write the AAR. This reminds me of the old days of the club where a member designed various scenarios in the same manner you have. These type of scenarios create a much better balanced battle. Members like you keep the club pertinent and interesting.
Im hurt though you didn't invite me to participate but I will try to get over the heartache.

Officers of the ACWGC Sirs! <salute>

First and foremost.
HUZZAH!
HUZZAH!
HUZZAH for Lt. Strickler

For those who know Blake, I need say no more.
For the club members that have not had the pleasure let me reinforce what others already know.
A great chap, a formidable, (formidable!), opponent, and a Major, (General type of Major), asset to the club.
If one ever gets the opportunity to battle him, be aware.
If one ever gets the opportunity to become part of his MP adventures by all means do so.
From what I understand there is the distinct possibility of another one of his battles "coming down the pike" and while I would love to enjoin, I do not want to monopolize the pleasure.

Next, the MP from the Union CinC point of view.
The set up is as Blake relays, (with the 30% casualty rate = major defeat consideration adding a beautiful twist).
This is an early Western battle so the Union has a mix of unit quality, but compared to the Eastern troops of the same period, a significant improvement.
And like a typical Western battle there is no overwhelming preponderance of artillery to be able to sit back and just blast away.
For staff I was able to enlist Brig. Gen. Ferguson, an old hand that I have faith in, and was assigned Lt. Drott, an unknown factor to me.
This was an interesting twist as I in the role of CinC will issue a directive and try to allow my subordinates complete freedom of action to attain the goal. I was curious as to how Lt. Drott would respond, (Hi Hampus. I hope you do not have too many pedestrian symbols painted on your tram like some kind of "air-ace"!)

We were set to the offensive against previously unknown CSA officers, (to us), and dispositions across what is tough terrain and from isolated, (from each other), entry points. This would be interesting.

The initial strategy was a two part plan.
The first was to bring the Army together just south of Chattanooga.
From there we would decide on a drive for Chattanooga or into northern Georgia depending on how the battle unfolded, (with always the nagging worry of a third and far more ignominious scenario that I kept to myself, a Union disaster and defeat).

The orders were issued and the forces on the march.

Until the next installment I remain respectfully yours.

Unknown? And here I thought I had a reputation.

Brig. Gen Trauth Sir! <salute>

My apologies.
No offense meant, I stand corrected and the post edited.

Always the best.

Respectfully

Leon ... don't sweat it mate... it was meant in fun.

Plus it looks like I get to play in the next one on the CSA side as well - purely for military science purposes of course. ;)
