Congrats, guys!!! Another Rich Walker design with maps by Doug S. and graphics by Frank "THE MAN" Mullins and co. with a lot of help from others.

Really looking forward to more games from you guys. :)

Note: in trying to download my game I got an error message which looks like this:

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
<Error><Code>AccessDenied</Code><Message>Access Denied</Message><RequestId>ECD74A7D678BFB3F</RequestId><HostId>EBOXXZzm4sBu+0+1D8j4Aoy35I7fjgPg7Br+yQjbbOitNtSyBNL3CTNbbeL8Jf/N8d7fijqGcwE=</HostId></Error>

I sent this along to Rich at the JTS support email.

Sounds to me like John Mosby and his Raiders may have disrupted my rail line to the server ;)

You were downloading from a different server Bill, won't effect anyone going through the Shopping cart.

Suggestion: please add into the Credits the programmer name who did the enhancements to the game. Surprised to not see his name listed.

Thanks! I hope you all will enjoy Petersburg. And in addition to what Bill said about Doug and Frank, I also wanted to mention John Ferry and David Freer and Berto.

Rich

P.S. If someone wants to play a game, let me know. I have more leisure time now (I think)!

Surely don't want to spoil the fun but I recommend to open an Errata thread to collect the pending fixes for the first patch, by that everyone can follow the stuff that is set to be fixed and does not post or even repost stuff again.
And as we still miss a feedback section that will also keep the Mason Dixon Tavern from being filled with all the minor stuff that the players usually find after release.

Colonel Peters may remember how good it worked for the Marengo release:

I do like the new 2D units - excellent, is it possible to upgrade all my other games to use the same 2D unit symbols?

*depends*

Yes, you can - however you have to change the file names from 25 and 50 to 50 and 100 - you cannot leave the 50 alone -because the 50 in Petersburg (at the moment) is the 100 in the other titles. At the moment being the operative phrase.

Petersburg uses 3 native 2d resolutions as opposed to 2 -and then a magnified zoom level. Petersburg's extra zoom level is an additional set of graphics.

But yeh there is no reason that you can't as a bmp is a bmp at the end of the day.
