Gentlemen, I just wanted to stop in and buy a round of drinks for USA General Joseph Alberti. He just conceded a battle of Corinth to me, and it was a fine welcome back to the club for this old-timer. I had carefully drawn up my battle plans but had no idea he had an entire division sitting smack-dab in the middle of my incoming reinforcements. I had to throw my plan out the window and re-plan on the fly. After throwing off my entire time table, he started withdrawing his division back to Corinth. I was able to get my cavalry in behind him and stall him long enough for my infantry to arrive. He saw the light and decided to save the rest of his army from needless slaughter - but I'll be more careful the next time he and I cross swords! Good game, General Alberti! |
