Its been too hard to get or keep games moving along for me lately and with all of the game design work I have going I just cannot find time for the club anymore. Sadly its time to say a fond farewell to the ACWGC and I wish you all the best. I like how the club has just kept chuggin' along and is in capable hands.

A big thanks to Gen. Alvin Baker for being a help during this time. Thanks to my opponents for games finished and the fun we had playing them.

I am looking forward to seeing many, many Panzer Campaigns games released in the next few years. Right now I am working on three of them along with a Panzer Battles game also in the queue. I also have about four other Panzer Campaigns games that I may get to work on as well. Just loving the work I am doing with the WDS guys. The Japan '45 game is just about done. Its where I have wanted to be for many years. Tons of work and the means to do them. Keep your eyes peeled to the WDS emails/posts and you will be seeing more of the work I am helping with. I love the "team concept" .. its nice to not have to do all of the work on these titles... love having the others pitching in.

I have a nice place where I live. Its near the Greenbelt here in Boise and I can get out in a moment's notice for a bike ride. I dont miss a car and get around via Uber, the bike or the bus or a friend or roomie at the house. Its all good and great. Back in the city I love.

You guys be good. Keep the faith and enjoy the games! So long.

Good luck, Bill!

I certainly understand.

One war is about all I can handle, and I am not even involved in WGD!

Col. Peters, <salute>

Good Luck, Bill!  It was great seeing you around the tavern again.  I know doing game/scenario designs can take a lot of time/focus and totally understand.

Don't be a stranger.  Feel free to come back and gives the Rebs a hard time any time you want. ;)

Remember, this last round of drinks is on me. *Cheers!*

Bill,

We will miss you! You first became a Rebel in April of 2000 and achieved the rank of Brigadier General! Then something happened and you left the Rebel cause around July of 2010. You later surfaced as a Yank and obtained the rank of Colonel! Your association with this American Civil War Gaming Club has spanned almost 20 years, I expect to see you back in the future when you have more time to spend with us!

All the very best in your current and future endeavors my Friend!

Respectfully

About to finish up with one game (Japan '45) and starting up THREE more! ROFL

What DID I get myself into ;)?

Thanks guys. I have been a member in this club (mainly on more than off) since 1998. Oh the old days of playing the BG games all of the time.

Its a fine club and def. the most organized of them too. Still sticking to the NWC as Scott Ludwig needs a Prussian hunting lodge drinking buddy. ROFL

Bill,

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand

Thanks for your contributions.

3 strikes and you are OUT!

1. You do not drink.
2. You do not own a hunting lodge.
3. You do not hunt.

Bill - I remember way back when I was club president and you worked so hard putting together the Department of Records - an invaluable service, my friend! I appreciate all the hard work you have performed for this club over the years.

Bartender, the next round is on my tab in honor of General Peters! (You'll always be "General" Peters to me!)

Spoken like a true Johnny Reb!

Actually I joined the club back in 1998 as a Union officer and was in the AoP - I Corps. I commanded the I Corps artillery brigade which became the training unit of the corps. New members would come into the brigade, I would train them and they then move on to a permanent assignment. Once the West Point was founded the purpose of the Artillery Brigade ended but I am happy to have been part of the initial training efforts in the club. I was given command of a Division and then the V Corps eventually. Those were the days .....

Yes, somewhere around 2000 I transferred to the CSA - Army of Alabama - formed by Sam Orlando and others. Sam was a good friend of mine for many years. We met up in Los Angeles while he and his family were there on vacation. I had already moved to Idaho but our trips to LA coincided nicely. I miss Sam. Hope he comes back some day.

Thanks for your kind words. As you may know by now the Panzer Campaigns Japan '45 Operation Olympic released this month and I finally have been able to take a much deserved break from the work. Two games in two months! This was nutso crazy! ROFL
