Out of curiosity I am asking what a club member, or any other owner of the HPS/JTS Campaign Civil War game, can do if they find themselves upgraded to a 3.X version without having saved any of the earlier versions and wish to match up with someone who has only an earlier version and cannot yet upgrade? Is it still possible to download any older version(s) without having to re-purchase the game?

I would not and am not suggesting that any saved, older versions be privately sent to anyone for any purpose, as that would, I think, constitute a copyright violation.

If Rich does not see this post, just email JTS support for a definitive answer.

Anyone with older versions can upgrade to JTS by giving info to Rich, such as order info, AFAIK.

I'm well aware of the upgrading procedure. The question was/is, if anything, what can an upgraded player do to play someone who's not upgraded, if he hasn't kept his old versions separate?

I would assume that if the upgraded player still has his original disc he can make a separately labeled re-installment and then select the upgrade version he needs from either the HPS or JTS sites. But if his original purchase was an on-line download, could he do the same thing?

Just upgrade my Ozark game and what I saw was that the JTS 3.0 version refused(clicking install did not start the installation process) to install when I selected a different folder than my old installation folder. Seems that the game intended to upgrade my existing installation, but as I didn't need the old one anymore I just removed it an afterwards installed 3.0.

I don't think that earlier versions have such installation routines so afaik it would be best to install any pre-3.0 version after 3.0 was installed because he might be unable to install 3.0 separately if an older version is on the installed.

Again, direct this question to JTS support.
