General Sands <salute>

I am new to the elections process and I have several questions about your post in particular this paragraph:

The ACWGC Cabinet Election Committee will be prepared to begin receiving nominations for the election of one USA Cabinet Secretary position on May 11, 2020 (Monday) through May 17, 2020 (Sunday), Campaigning May 18, 2020 thru May 31 2020 voting June 1, 2020 thru June 7, 2020 and candidates will be required to meet the criteria as defined by the ACWGC rules (3.3.4.2 Eligibility):
(3.3.4.2.1 Candidates for Cabinet Secretary or Club President must hold the rank of Colonel or above.)

My questions relate to how the nominating and voting process occurs.

1) You state the Election Committee will be prepared to receive nominations? How is this done? Via a post on this thread or by some other means? How will other Club Members become aware of nominations?

2) The rules state that a candidate must be seconded by two other members of the same Military Group. Same question, how should these seconds be transmitted? For that matter, how should an announcement of a candidacy for the office up for election be announced and how will that announcement be share with members?

3) Voting. How do members vote? By posting on this thread or by other ways?

4) How is the election process tracked? From nominations, seconds, voting and reporting via CNN of the results?

Respectfully,

An email to each member of the committee.

Initially, all is done by email to the election committee. Number 3, above states: 3) Nominations must be submitted to the entire Election Committee, email addresses provided below.

Generally, all voting is done by email to election committee.

The committee tracks the process and updates are posted in the MDT. We try not to use CNN as we want real news.

We have an additional candidate with two qualified nominations for Brigadier General Scott Eichelberger for the USA Cabinet Secretary post.

A reminder that the nomination period will close on May 17, 2020 ( this Sunday) at 11:59pm EST. Since we have two candidates, we'll actually have a full election cycle. An announcement for Campaigning and then Voting will be made at the respective timeframes.

Thanks to Ken & Scott for stepping up to offer their services!! :)
