30. Understanding all of the options and melee resolution almost requires a Masters Degree in it. I can’t help you with melee resolution because I constantly have opponents who melee and I ain’t worried, but they win, so obviously I don’t understand it. But for options, there is already a very well written article on them in the Mason Dixon Tavern written by Kennon Whitehead which is well worth the read. It is located in the Announcements at the top of the forum, and is one of the posts in the FAQ/Optional Rules/Email Addresses/Board FAQ. If I was really particular, I could pick and choose and eliminate about half of the options. However, I’m not smart enough to play with different options every game so I choose to play with all options on except for the ones that I really prefer to play without (MDF, Artillery Capture and Extreme Fog of War). It is also a common set of options to play with that will draw a sufficient number of opponents for me to play with. I am of the opinion that there are members of the club who are willing to play regardless of what options are chosen, but the more out of the ordinary that we are, the playing pool gets smaller. It’s choosing what is ordinary is the stinker.
