The Pemberton Gets Help Tournament is nearing its start. Here is the link to the website:

http://www.wargame.ch/wc/acw/Club_Tourn ... Gets_Help/

All the information about the tournament is there. However, if you still have questions do not hesitate to contact me at larrygmills@yahoo.com.

We could use a few more Union players to join in the Multi-Player games.

General Mills, Sir! <salute>

Larry, I am afraid that them there yellow Blue Bellies are a might bit scared seeing that the Rebel forces are near equal strength to them. Looks more like us Rebs are going to have to stand in for those people in Blue!

Say, is there going to a bar set up and offering General Officers some libation? That is sure to draw a crowd!

Larry Mills, sir! <salute>

This Northerner will answer the call and represent the great state of Michigan! ;o) Put me in. I'm sure I'll bag a couple thousand Rebs along the way. :)

Suh...only way you going to bag us Rebs is by working the checkout stand at our local grocery store

where are those yankees ya'll being recruiting?? are they somewhat reluctant to tangle with us Southerners....must be relatives of Little Mac?

General good evening to ya Suh.....please don't light your cigar until I can clear the door

LT Campbell. Don’t you fret. I am positive there will be more battles for you to participate in
I do want to commend the Union AotT Soldiers’ voices. I heard them singing “Just before the Battle, Mother”. Let’s see if i can remember the lyrics
“Just before the battle, Mother,
I was drinking Mountain Dew,
When I saw the Rebels coming
To the rear I quickly flew.”
Yes those were the lyrics

You have a lovely voice for an alto, sir. It reminds me of a tune I heard similar to your tune "Dixie". I don't remember it all but I do remember the part that went, "....every Dixie boy must understand, that he must mind his Uncle Sam."
May I fill up your glass?

Gen. Miller/Lt. Campbell,

Many thanks for your hospitality (long sip of a fresh ice cold beer)….ahh! Oh, yes, Gen. Miller you are correct. Some Southern sympathizer must of added something to my drink trying to keep me off the field and leading my forces to victory. Clearly there can't be a thousand Rebs left is that scant ragtag army. Ever since the siege of Vicksburg, your boys have been deserting or trying to swim across the Mississippi. I'm sure there is only a couple hundred of your boys left in that town and those few boys wouldn't put up much of a fight.

Just to keep things even, I've instructed by officers to count to "10 Mississippi" when chasing your lads to give them a fighting chance to run away. During the night we put out some hardtack on a log and watch your hungry boys try to sneak out and grab it. For fun, we shoot a warning shot when they get close enough but let them have it in the end.

It's a shame your remaining boys don't lay down their arms and come eat with us. We have plenty of food and clean Blue uniforms for them to wear. :) Some of your boys are getting so thin that there are campfire stories over here talking about how the city is haunted and that they've seen walking skeletons in the city.

I'm sure it won't be long before Gen. Cam McOmish gives the orders and surrenders the city to Gen. Joseph Meyer. I'm sure this great victory will bring some recognition to General Grant's brilliant campaign and hopefully his promotion in the Union ranks. It's been about time that we get a fighting general in charge and "Old Brain's" Halleck and Gen. McClellan are put to desk duties. ;)
