I have never been a man to stray far from the tactical doctrine of the late great John Bell Hood. His one page tactical epic “Cold Steel is the Best Way to a Man’s Heart “ is the only book in my ACW library. After over a 100 battles things have not gone well so I am re reading his book in case I missed a key point

General McOmish...I dont think you'll be holding the Worse Record Holder For The JTS Series much longer. I cant buy a win...or even a draw.

Agree with General Dortch. Have had Nosworthy's book for years. I have used some of the data he sites within -- especially the chapter on the rifle -- to modify PDT files for scenarios I have designed. He cites Griffith within the text, most significantly the distance at which fire fights took place in the Civil War. The PDTs throughout the Campaign Series are too generous in terms of the effective use in mass formations of small arms especially.
