BGEN. Scott Eichelberger is the NEW Union Cabinet secretary.

Thanks to Gen Miller for his participation in the process.

Thanks to Gen David Danner for his 5 year stint as Union Secretary.

And thanks to the election committee for their service.

Two honorable candidates.
No charges of Russian interference or voter fraud.
No hours long waits at the polls.
The election panel counted the votes and reported the results in our lifetimes.
Bravo and thanks to all who participated in this.

Two great candidates. Both were deserving of the position.

Scott, congrats and best of luck in your new position.

Well Major General, I'm blushing that an officer of such high rank would take note. It's true, I've not been a Captain that long and I will do my best to be the best doggone Captain in the whole US Army. Again, thanks for the kind words

Gentlemen and fellow officers (...oh, and you, too, Cpt. Reed :-)), many thanks!
I look forward to serving the club, along with our other highly esteemed colleagues on the Cabinet.

Also thanks to Gen. Miller for his willingness to serve, and to Gen. Danner for his outstanding service on the Cabinet over the past 5 years.
Once again, I find myself with big shoes to fill.

Respectfully yours,

Congratulations General Eichelberger! You will do a magnificent job just as you have done as Superintendent of the Union Military Academy.

Congratulations Scott and respect for Ken Miller. Drinks on me @ The Woodin Injun Tavern. I'll limit McOmish to 10 pints.

Would have been here sooner but there have been some things that needed my attention on the home front.
Here is the message I sent to Scott and the election committee when we were given the news.

Scott,

Congratulations, the members have spoken and I'm sure you'll do your best for the club.

Ken

Congratulations Scott, however I am deeply a grieved about the 10 drink limit for the after match function. The Wooden Injun Tavern has not seen me for a few months, I hope that it is still the same old two bit sleazy dive.
