I am sure any Civil War buff out there has either read a book by this man or seen him on Ken Burns's The Civil War. Quite a fascinating life filled with public service and a love of history. https://www.battlefields.org/visit/itineraries/memory-ed-bearss?emci=10320bf5-38f8-ea11-99c3-00155d039e74&emdi=e41bcc0c-68f8-ea11-99c3-00155d039e74&ceid=47446&utm_campaign=091620&utm_medium=update&utm_source=email |

Rob, Thanks for letting us know. I do remember watching him in the Ken Burn's The Civil War series. I also watched in another documentary as well. Sad to see the lose of another passionate ACW historian. |

He was certainly among the foremost Civil War historians of all time. |

For me he was a storyteller who brought the ACW to life, an American treasure who will be sorely missed |
