*Pemberton Gets Help Tournament - MG Hampel vs. Gen. Miller (Pre-battle chat)*

General Miller, Sir! <Salute>

Tim, lets enjoy this bottle of whiskey and these cigars before we cross back over our lines tonight and prepare for battle. Just want to say, best of luck to you and your boys. Don’t be ashamed if you get routed from the field and end up in a Yankee prison camp. You wouldn’t be the first Rebel general I’ve brought back to the Northern lines. I’m sure your boys will put up a good fight. *lights up the cigar and takes a couple puffs*

Well, I guess things aren’t like our old days as cadets at West Point, ehh, Tim? *Hampel takes a swig of the from the whiskey bottle* Ahhh!, good stuff. *Hands the bottle over to Tim*

Hope we make it out alive together and get to reminisce about these “Good old days!

God Bless and good luck to your misguided boys! *Gen. Hampel turns his horse around and returns to his lines*

The CAMPAIGN BATTLES BEGIN!

Special Thanks to Larry for this Tournament and his hard work! ;o)

These tournaments don't go without a large effort by the events organizers. Would like to say thanks to Larry Mills, Nick Kunz, Walt Dorth and Cameron McOmish (aka Cam) for putting together their tournaments over the past year.

Lets give them a round of Union cheers! HURRAH! HURRAH! HURRAH!

Cam, I'm still waiting for my MAD ribbon.

My compliments and best wishes

There is a saying in South Carolina....A blind squirrel will eventually find a nut. Good General …..finally stated something making sense....
those fine Gentlemen you listed are indeed worthy of our thanks and gratitude.
without these tournaments...definitely be less interesting around here.

Gentlemen my greatest of thanks to you....

Gen Hampel...the Manager of the tavern told me you took off with a whole wagon full of spirits...
don't worry..I took care of the bill....to save your honor....
I figured you will be doing a lot of drinking in the next several months

It's my understanding that so many Rebs dropped out of this Tournament that we Federals who remain have lost the opportunity to play MP campaigns and we are now matched up 1:1 against other Federals which must now reluctantly play as Confederate. This is an unfortunate turn of events for this otherwise exceptional Campaign Tournament and I must say I'm a bit disappointing with the club, which I thought was taking extra efforts to stay alive, much less try to grow our membership.

I don't know if it's too late to recruit more Rebs into this tournament, but it would be appreciated by those of us who remain and waiting in limbo.
