Wanted to wait awhile before commenting here.
First thanks for the kind words.
When I heard Rich was having trouble finding someone to update the manuals I thought about it and offered to give it a shot.
Wrote my fair share of how to manuals in 36 years as a tech so it wasn't completely new to me.
These games have been providing me with a lot of enjoyment for over 20 years going back to Tiller's BG days and I enjoy getting new players involved in wargaming, never have enough opponents.

Other than replacing the old screens with the newer WDS style and trying to update the explanations I used a lot of the original material, just tried to reorganize it in a way I thought might be better for new players.
A lot of the new stuff I used in the updates were things I learned from trying to answer questions either for myself or others who posted here.
Some of it was things I learned from 15 years of playing the games, while play testing the games or from noting problems at the play tester forum.

You can also thank several ACWGC members who have been asking Rich for updates.
Some of my additions covered things that were pointed out to Rich about the manuals by several ACWGC members in critiques they sent him.

I'm not sure who all did so but I know Scott Eichelberger, Nick Kunz and Walt Dortch were among them.
About the time I completed my first draft of the Users Manual they contacted Rich again and knowing I was about to look for proofreaders he put them in contact with me.
I think he did it to get them off his back.
They offered to help out and I accepted and want to thank them for looking over my first drafts and making corrections/suggestions.
I also want to thank Rusty Hodgkiss as he also looked over the User Manual for me.

The final result is mine but I thought some of their suggestions useful and integrated them into the released versions.
