Not sure what's up with BBCode on my account. It is showing ON for this post, but when I attempt to reply to a post in another forum, it shows up as OFF.

I've been to the Control Panel and made sure that the default is ON (which it is). I've tried resetting preferences to OFF, closing the browser, reopening my browser, changing BBCode back to ON, opening the site in another browser, and even gone so far as rebooting my computer.

There are no checkboxes on the reply page to "Disable BBCode". Can the thread starter set the entire thread to disable BBCode by default? I've looked everywhere I can think of to turn it on for this other post. It's not really important, but I am curious why it's OFF for that reply and ON for this post.

Thanks in advance,

The BBC Code is off in the ANV Forum (if that's what you were trying to do). We will have to wait for Scott L or someone to correct it. Easy fix but over the holiday things slooooow a bit.

What exactly were you trying to do? You have the same access as all others in the club. Checking your account shows nothing unusual, that I can see.

This is still the problem I had posted a while back:

I'll take a look at it. Did so briefly now, but will need some more time later to look further....

Thanks for letting us know Mike!

I was attempting to break out and reply to several sentences in a reply from Ken in this post

Yes, Ernie, I understand that. I was only wondering why BBCode was off in the thread in the Opponent Finder subforum, and yet seemed to be working on all the others.

Nothing obvious is showing up on an evaluation on either BBCode problem, for Christian or Mike. Hopefully, Scott can solve this

A shot in the dark: go to USER CONTROL PANEL (upper right on login screen). select "edit posting defaults" and make sure BBCode is set to YES!!!!!!

This was one of a number of things I tried; setting it to NO, then back to YES, back to NO and logging out, then logging in and turning it back to YES, and so on... I tried everything I could think of before I posted here, way more time than the post required, but what the heck, I was waiting on a turn...

Maybe a unique system glitch.

Not a system glitch as it is the same for everyone. As you can see from the screenshots the BBCode is OFF in the Opponents Forum now. The ANV forum also has BBCode turned OFF.

Image

The main MDT forum and others have the BBCode turned ON. If my memory serves me the settings for a specific forum can be altered in the Forum Administration of the ACP. But it's been a long while, lol. I would check the settings of the MDT and set the other subforums in the MDT to match those. Excluding the Southern Raiders of course which remains a hidden forum from the Yanks and their prying eyes.

Ok as a test I edited the settings in the various Opponent Finder sections & Clump of Trees. Let me know if you see the different posting format options! 8)

I tested starting a new thread and reply to an existing one, all still show "BBCode is OFF" to me.

Thanks & it raised a point I forgot to mention and that's if a regular CSA Officer (non-moderator) could check. If it looks ok, then we'll give the Union side a go! :)
