Bridesmaids appear to have been stuck with the bad dresses even in 1860! I do like the Scarlett O'Hara model dress though.

I'm sure somewhere out there is a book talking about Civil War "shotgun" weddings or hurried weddings with men going off to war. Same as at the start of any war.

You can tell they are southern belle's, if the picture was of union brides and brides maids they would all be wearing blindfolds - Union grooms always look like they have been beaten senseless with an ugly stick. :mrgreen:
