Sirs,

I write to inform you that the club is in need of people willing and able to help with HTML, phpBB, and graphics. If you have skills in any of these areas and have time and the desire to help the club at this critical juncture, please let me know.

For over a decade the Union Army presence online, your army's pages, the forums, the ribbons and graphics that adorn your OOB page, the virtual parchment documents announcing your promotions, have been almost exclusively the work of General Joe Meyer. He was Commanding Officer of the AotS and AotT, as well as Chief of Staff for the entire Union Military Group (UMG) and essentially our sole Engineer. He alone made the changes which came up from the monthly musters through your chain of command and created and maintained our presence online.

We learned shortly after General Michael Dowling signaled his need to step down as Union Army, Chief of Armies, that Joe Meyer had suffered an injury to his back and shoulder which has made it extremely painful for him to continue with his work. He is no longer able to do the monthly updates for the Union Army websites and has become inactive. It is possible we'll see him here again, but we do not know if, when, or in what capacity. Nothing is certain and we are preparing for the worst.

The Union Army Forums, in phpBB, are in need of updates (to version 3.3.3) at the host where they reside. Joe thinks he has someone who can take care of that upgrade, but it must be done by the end of the month. We might, therefore need someone with knowledge of this platform just in case.

The Army pages are all written in fundamental HTML with some additional add-ins. You may not know how much effort the chain of command must put in monthly to get the data needed to update those pages. You may not know that everything that was updated monthly eventually fell into Joe's hands! If you take some time to look through the Union Army pages you can't fail to notice his presence.

If we are to keep much of what he created and left us, we need help. Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their Army!

If you can help, please let me know,
