American Civil War Game Club (ACWGC)

Hello, my name is Jules and I am new to the club, ready to fight for the Union! "God is on the side with the best artillery" - Napoleon

I already consider myself relatively proficient in the WDS game system, owning games since it was known as JTS but so far no matches completed in this era of warfare untill my training is complete! I am on a journey exploring the US civil war and no better way than to be able to play it out. I currently own Gettysburg, Peninsula and Overland but might just buy more before the current sale is over. They are very entertaining so far! I was made aware of the clubs existence trough the WDS club links and the whole community centered around these games is among the best I have found in my (few) years of digital wargaming.

I am looking forward to seeing you all on the battlefield, gentlemen.

The ACW is a fascinating period and the JTS/WDS games portray it really well IMHO. The ACWGC is the place to be to really appreciate the period, the games and most importantly the camaraderie and brotherhood of likeminded members. Enjoy your time here, there is much to explore and be involved in, hone your skills from training and like all things in life, we take out what we put it. Above all else have a great time here Sir.

Hi Jules - I'm a confederate cadet in the VMI with a very similar background to yours - experience in the WDS Napoleonic and Pike & Musket titles, but in the ACW for the first time. Maybe we can have a battle?
