Good morning!

Cadet Ian Saunders reporting for duty with the Confederacy!

Im from the UK (Dorset) Im currently employed as a data engineer/architect. I've been wargaming since the mid 90s both digitally and on the table top. Im fairly new to the WDS series of ACW games (I have Gettysburg and Shenandoah) but, I do have a fairly strong table top ACW gaming background with GMTs Great Battles of the American Civil war series which i often play on VASSAL. Its surprisingly similar in scale to the Campaign series of games.

Im looking forward to seeing the Elephant with you all soon!

Have a great day!
Ian

Cadet Saunders <salute>

Welcome to the ACWGC and most importantly to the Confederacy, a wise and discerning choice on your part.

Apply yourself assiduously at the VMI and with your GMT background doubtless you will be seeing the Elephant soon enough.

Field Lieutenant Saunders, <Salute>

Certainly delighted to have a new CSA Officer with us in the club! Glad to see you coming from the table top side of the hobby!

I'm sure you'll find plenty of good food, fun and camaraderie! Between Brigadier General McEntegart, General Kunz, General McOmish, Lieutenant General Beyersdorf, Major General Reneau and the whole lot of them in the fine Army of Tennessee, you surely won't be short on your goal of "Seeing the Elephant", even if you never get past the Tuesday drinking rounds!! 8) Beware of General McOmish's two hollow legs!!

May Victory adorn your banners Ian!!
