Hello good people,

I am a new member of ACWGC. I came over from the Napoleonic club where I have been a member for a few years. I got tired of losing with fancy and colorful uniforms, so I figured I would come over here and see what its like with drab blue and grey

I came to the WDS games, like so many, as a wargamer without time to wargame - my kids are still young and time is short, so PBEM has become my favorite way to scratch the itch.

Looking around I do see some familiar names, and I am hoping to make acquaintance with the rest of you soon.

See you on the battlefield or in the tavern!

Cadet Porres,

Sergio, welcome to the ACWGC and the CSA side of it!

There is a lot of action that will be picking up here after the first of the year with some new Tournaments to participate in, we just need to finish up your training first!

Respectfully,

Your Obedient Servant,

General Nick Kunz
Commanding,
2nd Corps, AoT

Welcome to the ACWGC Sergio!! I'm not sure why you'd want to go from those bright colorful uniforms to the threadbare tattered things that pass for clothing that the rebs wear, but more power to you!!! Maybe we'll meet on the field of battle some day and you can get some nice shoes from my boys after they've fled the field. BTW, I've just enlisted in the AAA of the NWC. I now have a fancy uniform as well!

Good luck sir!!

Sergio <salute>

You are most welcome Sir, and indeed as you noted, I am familiar with your name from the NWC also.

You made a most excellent choice of uniform color too, as for what we lack in frippery n finery, we make up for in blood n guts, and as any Yank will attest to, I don't doubt.

When next passing the Smoky Mountain Tavern, dismount and rest awhile, where we will treat you to some of the finest 'Old Tennessee' Gold and on the house, Sir.

Welcome to the club, Sergio! You will find fancy Zoave uniforms in the CSA and USA armies so we do have them as well. No escaping them! ROFL

(a rumor has it that Gen. Scott Ludwig was last scene at the Richmond Ball in a Zoave uniform .... )  8) :D
