Hello,
I hail from Boston and have just enlisted in the Union Army and am somewhat new to computer gaming though when I was (a lot) younger I played Avalon Hill games and others quite a bit. I learned of ACWGC from the WDS site, having purchased Gettysburg (goes without saying), Antietam and Shenandoah but am looking forward to expanding that list. And while I'm now in the North for over thirty years (and thus enlisted in the appropriate army), I grew up in Virginia, right outside of Richmond and as a kid soaked up the Civil War, visited all the battlefields around there, even did some re-enacting as a drummer--but, needless to say, from the Southern perspective. So I'm something of a mixed bag (including my marked pronunciation of certain words which often brings a hoot up here) when it comes to Civil War sides which is why, if needed, I would be happy to get a bit nostalgic and dip in and play the Confederate side too. Looking forward to joining your ranks soon.

Welcome to the club!! I'm sure you'll be able to find rebs willing to play the Yankees on occasion. Hope you have many years of enjoyment here.

I'm in New Jersey and many here get a 'hoot' when a Bostonian pronounces certain words too!

Thanks all for the warm greetings. (As for pronunciation actually it's my Southern that gets a 'hoot' e.g., 'lever' pronounced like 'leave her' and my occasional slippage into... yup, sometimes stereotypes are true.... "y'all")
