Dear Club, I would like to say thank you for including me in this group. I really enjoy ACW history and gaming. I have played hex and counter and miniature ACW games prior to this. The subject matter has always interested me a great deal. I am married to a wonderful wife who indulges my hobby. She needles me and calls my miniatures (6mm to 20mm) "dolls". As a nudge back, I painted a stand of 6mm Zouaves in pink, purple, red, bright silver and gold. I game and paint in everything from Ancients to Fantasy to 40k. I don't play nearly as much as I paint. The painting is relaxing and good therapy for me. I took it up more after doing an outpatient PTSD program before I got out. Now, I paint, fish, tie fishing flies and real a good bit. My amazing wife and I live in Centre, Al on the lake. We both met after being widowed due to terminal illnesses. We are a great fit and life has been very good for us since we met. Prior to meeting her, I did a stint in the Navy 88-94. After Desert Storm, there were drawbacks in the military, so I took an opportunity to get out. I did a stint in law enforcement, but found that I made a better servicemember than civilian. I joined the Army in 2004, going in the Infantry. I did three tours and got out in 2013. since then I have really been into gaming/painting as my hobby. I fish more so in the spring and summer, sometimes in the fall. When I saw the opportunity to game ACW in a computer setting, I had not done it before, so I thought I would give it a go. The modules all looked very good, so I jumped in and bought several. I am not tech savvy (I am better at putting rounds downrange than maneuvering around the net and a computer, but I am learning. I am looking forward to getting to know y'all and get in some good gaming. Nick was patient and helped me learn a bit, so it's time to bury some Blue Bellies! Volens et Potens! V/R Scott Blanchett
