After an extended absence I'm reporting for duty and raring to go! It's good to be back.

Welcome back, Tom!

BTW thank you for Terrible Swift Sword; had a great time playing that scenario late last year.

Thanks, and glad to see you enjoyed TSS. For some reason or another it doesn't seem compatible with the new 4.05.1 updates, so I scrapped the current version and will be doing a new one using the Leader and Unit ratings from The Gamers "Last Chance For Victory" boardgame and also the reinforcement schedule from it. Eicher's Ultimate Gettysburg OOB will be providing the unit strengths.

Don,

Thanks a million for rescuing these! I'd given up hope and thought I'd have to start all over.

Lt. Tom Porto,

It was not I that saved your files, it was Gen. Ken Miller, see this post:

https://www.wargame.ch/board/acwgc/view ... 88#p125031

I merely repacked what the good General did into JSGME packages and put your text, title, and turn numbers into that first link so others might know what your files are and for those folks like myself that use JSGME to modified games without harming the original files.

I cannot take the credit for saving your files, but am glad they are safe and sound and now working in the latest version of Gettysburg, the only small token I took part in was creating the three packages to be used with JSGME and pasting in the text from the scenarios.

The setups look pretty amazing I might add, you did some awesome work here. One day I'll have to brave the 212 turn historical 1A scenario.

Yours,

Tom,

Actually I didn't save anything other than !!!TSS_Weather.scn.
Apparently WDS had seen the popularity of your big scenarios and the large map given to you by David and included that in the 4.051 update.
When I saw the post about your scenarios not working in 4.05 I updated mine to take a look at it.
In the process of reloading my custom scenarios I apparently over wrote the WDS 4.05 version of the map and mine did not work.
Having messed around with custom scenarios I knew that having a black display indicates a problem with the .map file.
I discovered the scrambling of the maps and I contacted WDS about it asking if they could add the large map to the scrambled Maps.
They assured me that had been done in the update so I reinstalled 4.05 and all the scenarios except that one worked so I checked the .map and changed the name and it worked fine.

Knowing that not everyone is comfortable making these changes I placed the zipfiles on the ACWGC Engineering site and added links that Don used to post his files.

Hi Ken,

I hadn't realized that WDS included the map in the 4.05.1 update. When I did a new clean install I see it now, and if the scenarios weren't included by WDS (I looked but didn't see them), that's no issue since you rescued them and they're in good hands. The map was always David's to begin with, and if someone else wants to get creative I look forward to seeing that.

Tom
